I haven’t written since Uncle Manuel’s death. Mostly there is little to say. I miss having a classroom full of kids-the best part of being abroad was the kids. I miss the respect for self and learning that the children had. I am “working” at Gold’s Gym. The children there have little to no respect for themselves or each other. They also have a hard time speaking English. “I wants paper.” Is what I was told/asked for…again I just don’t understand.
I did make it to Wichita and some Wichiaians made it to STL. It was wonderful to see and do and talk to all of them again. I miss being around Wichita and all of the college folks…
None the less things have been fairly busy-ish and boring-ish to some degree. I expected to be going abroad again around this time and find myself working here in Florissant and interviewing for possible longer term employment here in Florissant and even looking at serious schooling again (masters in education or athletic training…my death studies will have to wait for a doctorate)… If you have information on Thailand, or someplace tropical without the TEFL certificate requirement then please let me know…or if I can get the money together I will be doing a TEFL masters in Thailand…
