So Sorry so boring

Hey…

I have participated in less updating due to not as much I felt to report. Though probably to the folks back home there is a lot more I should be reporting on. I apologize. In my defense things are incredibly busy lately and any free time I do find I seem to sleep it away.

Going Backwards: Last Friday: “Field Trip” to the Dentist with Chris-Teacher’s class Yale. Uneventful. The kids were pretty good overall and other than seeing Thomas the Tank Engine dubbed in Korean nothing exciting happened. It was very cute to watch the kids actually be totally enthralled in something (the tv) and the blank looks their faces all ended up with.
That afternoon we did science; which is my kids favorite activity. We put together skeletons and then made them dance.

Friday and Saturday nights were just nights. Went out for a while parks/drinks/nothing exciting.

Sunday: Chris and Liam woke me up in the afternoon. Gathered Brandon and walked to Kumah-World (pronounced guma-world) which is a giant electronic store. Brandon has been wanting to take me because he was sure to see me act like a two year old on Christmas morning with all the electronic equipment-specifically photography related. For which I don’t think he was too disappointed. However, there was only one pentax dealer and he didn’t have too much. There is a place in Seoul that I am supposed to head too. Afterward it was just shopping through different places. A larger E-mart; Shinsage; the off to downtown to find the Underground Store (which is not really underground), it is the foreigner food store in the area; it is also smaller than my room, but I don’t care as they have a descent selection of foreigner foods (Mexican/pastas/etc. mostly foreigner as in “American”); finally over to Yangdong market which has a little of everything and you can bargain for what you want (mostly knock off bags and clothing).

Finally we headed back to our area of the neighborhood and I hosted dinner. I found beans at the foreigner store and Cella had sent me chili packets so I invited the guys over for “home-cooked meal.” Threw in some fresh vegetables and the boys went meatless for the chili. Ran into Rusty as we came home and invited him in as well. It was a very enjoyable evening. (Thanks Cella!)

[I will re-post picture links soon…it will just take a while to do—sorry!]
