the kid story of the day makes this post worth it

The key to getting things done is a little procrastination, but never procrastinating by going on facebook. I am feeling a little guilty about how lousy I am typing things up and I am also still really busy, but not so much busy for school stuff anymore so I am giving myself some time to do things such as update anyone who might be reading. I have finally begun trying to seriously learn Korean. In the past eight months I have attempted to several times only to be thwarted by my own stupidity and laziness. My main goal is to be able to read it. I can speak enough to get myself into trouble and maybe out of it, but to read the characters would be helpful and so I am buckling down (as you can see form me spending the first ten minutes typing this out)…

Also we are working on finishing up our graduation skits and having them win final approval. My two are a G-rated Animal House and a Top Gun, both very roughly based on their movie counter parts. When I have more info I will post it…

Four of my students have been studying and prepping for tests and interviews at THE elementary school to go to in Gwang-Ju called Samyook. Today was the day that those four went and tested and interviewed. It is really important that all of the students that applied get in for the image of LCI and we will find out in a week. I am keeping my fingers crossed. My Chris is the biggest worry of our entire school. Crossed fingers…

Finally our "kid story of the day:"

Trying to joke and explain cancelled I said that if North Korea nuked Russia Sponge Bob might be cancelled tonight and school might be cancelled tomorrow. Triston asked me to write a letter to North Korea to nuke Russia so he doesn’t have to go to school tomorrow; everyone else in the class seconded the idea.

  1. That's awesome, risking nuclear winter just to get out of school. They're kids after my own heart.
