Happy Labor Day (belated on my end)…End of summer and the holiday that marks the start of the busy holiday seasons.
Momma said that I have been neglecting you all on that side of the world and if you feel that way I am sorry. I finally got my internet working-ish again and have been busy at work and with work. There also isn’t as much to be reporting anymore than repeats of what I have told you before (though there may be some god new ones coming up? Maybe)
News that I do have:
I received a new student in class last Monday. Her name is Lori and she is actually a six year old who tested higher and had to be put into some open class. She is a little quiet, but not really shy. She already reads some and is doing better than my class dunces at the moment.
Last Saturday I was woken up by a phone call of screaming students. About eight LCI students and their mothers were in the park and wanted their teachers to play with them. So we did for about 4-5 hours. It was nuts, but fun to interact with them in a non-formal environment and in a way they actually learned while we played because we would still correct their grammar and then yesterday they came in talking a little better because of it (future tense practice).
To come when I am not in a hurry to do work for school: Swine flu panic; fake id needed
