A pretty good weekend on this end of the world-- yet sad too; I missed a fantastic party back home (I am sure that is was and can’t wait for the details…
Saturday night a couple from a neighboring school had a “house party” at their apartment. They have a triple room place that is good sized. It was nice to see newer people in a conversational setting rather than the bars where you have to shout to be heard and such.
Saturday started early and weirdly enough—A students mother treated Brooke and me to fake eyelashes. They took about an hour to put on and hurt every once in a while. I keep joking that I was “forced” into it by Brooke and Kitty’s mom as it would never have been my original idea to do them; they look like mascar-ed eyelashes a little thicker than mine normally are and though they do look okay I do not plan on becoming an eyelash whore…
Afterwards we had delectable salads and soup at Outback and went home for a while to get ready for a Kia Tigers game!
The Tigers are currently in first place and they beat the LG Twins 9-6 after a fairly exciting and eventful game. Cody, Lindsay, Evan, Teresa, Tina, Terry, Liam, Chris and his girlfriend (visiting form Japan) Amy, Brooke, Bill, Sarah, Aiden, Jeremy, Brian, Young (a Korean friend) and Kasey were all part of the group. It was a good game. Afterwards we went to the University area to eat. Jeremy’s friend Party Girl joined us around that time and after we ate many of us lost our Nori-bong virginities.
A Nori-bong is a singing room. Basically you pay to sit in a room and drink/eat and sing karaoke. It was ridiculous and hilarious and absolutely a blast. Finally we closed then night downtown at Speaks and Songs our numbers dwindling to Liam, Tina, Cody and I.
I have slept through most of Sunday, but plan to go out and do some laundry and will clean a little when I return. Oh well…I am satisfied with that type of day.
