A story of hope:

I have a Starbucks gift card. I had planned on finishing it at the airport, but there was not one around when I wanted to use it; so I still have about $25 on it. Starbucks are fairly universal; I have seen one in most major cities in the world and Gwang-Ju is not the exception. In fact it is right across the street from where I work. I thought, hey Starbucks should take a Starbucks gift card…right? NOPE! The computer system cannot convert the USD to Korean Won…I guess I will have to send it home for someone to use after all. Not that I really have to have Starbucks to survive, but free tea is free tea.
