Almost a Full Moon

There is something that I have always loved about a full moon. No matter where you are in the world you see the same moon as everyone else within that same 24 hour period. Only one side of the moon faces the earth- it is not a rotating mass. When it is a full moon it is a full moon; a new moon is a new moon. I know that many feel it is over romanticized and the horror flicks love to use it as a symbol of the weird, but there must be something in our collective subconscious to have created such a stereotype. One thing is positive: the moon controls the pull of water on Earth; the human body is over 70% water. I am a believer in the power of the full moon on mind, body spirit. Between the full moons approach and beautiful sun shining weather I can almost feel relief coming.

Please don’t ignore the full moon this week. When you see it know that I am being completely nostalgic and silly, but am thinking of you and hope that you will be thinking of me…

  1. I will watch the moon with you. I would open my bedroom curtains/blinds at night when living at the Durwood house and lay there looking at the moon. It was a great way to drift to sleep. It is calming and relaxing.
